Run for COPE Galway

COPE Galway is a social services organisation whose vision is an “Improved Quality of Life in a Home of your Own” for people affected by homelessness, women and children experiencing domestic violence, and for older people living in Galway. We do this by Supporting Home, Promoting Community and Reducing Isolation through our various service and support centres around the city and county, endeavouring to reach the most vulnerable in the community. If you would like to support COPE Galway by taking part in the Connemarathon contact Marie Anne at 091 778 750 or email fundraising@copegalway.ie.

Run for the Galway Simon Community

Last year 622 households in our local community turned to Galway Simon in crisis; people that you may not suspect would ever have trouble keeping their own home. Unfortunately this changing face of homelessness is seeing an alarming number of families and individuals being forced to choose between putting food on the table or keeping up with rising rent and bills. For someone facing such difficulties, early intervention and putting the right supports in place can often be key in preventing a spiral into homelessness. To run for Galway Simon contact amy.lavelle@galwaysimon.ie.

Run for Cancer Care West

Patient and family support is the centre of everything they do and their priorities are to equip all those they meet with the supports they need to maintain peace of mind and quality of life. They don’t charge for any of the services they provide and are hugely appreciative of the fundraising donations that they receive from Connemarathon participants.
