Ray, I had a fabulous weekend. I really enjoyed the run. It's a unique and great event. Liam, Gary, Aisling and Tony all had a great time. Special mention to the marquee - well laid out and great grub.

This was my first ultra and I had an absolutely fantastic weekend. Myself and 18 friends from Nidd Valley Road Runners came from Harrogate to run the marathon and all agree how great it was, we're all still buzzing from it.

Seriously-this has to rank as one of my top marathons(and i have done a few). Thanks for a superb and memorable day. I'll be back next year.

Bernard Duffy, who founded the race was delighted to introduce Ray O’Connor as this years Race Director, commenting ‘I am confident that Ray’s understanding of what runners really want along with his vast event management experience will bring this event to a new level. Anyone who has run the Connnemara Marathon will know Ray and the professionalism and atmosphere that he brings to an event.’
Planning and preparation is well underway and entries are flooding in for this year's races. Over 2,000 participants are expected in Salthill for the 10K and Half Marathon.
