  • Just have to let you know, what a great day we had today. Well done. Really enjoyed the marathon well organised. Even the weather how did you do it. It was a great day.

  • I wish to congratulate Ray and all the team on the organisation of such a wonderful event. I enjoyed the marathon very much. Thanks a million. It was the most beautiful race I have ever run in my life. The landscape and the weather were so nice !!!!

  • Splendid event and a fantastic environment for it (and you managed excellent weather!). Your organisation was incredible, everything thought of and available in huge quantities; gallons of water out there, and lots of food at the finish.

Interesting day on many levels

The 2010 Connemarathon will go down as the day of 3,000 suns - or at least that's how it felt, both in terms of the heat and the beaming faces after recovery.

I love Connemara. When it's cold and windy, it has a haunting beauty, an unforgiving landscape that holds no hostages, and when it sparkles in sunshine like it did on April 11 it holds onto unsuspecting visitors with a vice like grip. The crowds simply didn't want to leave Maam Cross.

So far I've received 48 emails with positive comments and 2 negative ones. We've had forums buzzing with positive comments too so generally it seems everything went well. I sincerely hope yours was one of the very positive experiences.
