Hi Ray, Mick and all the Connemara Crew. Many thanks for putting on another splendid Connemara events of marathon, ultra marathon and half marathon. We were all blessed by good sunny weather.

Seriously-this has to rank as one of my top marathons(and i have done a few). Thanks for a superb and memorable day. I'll be back next year.

I wish to congratulate Ray and all the team on the organisation of such a wonderful event. I enjoyed the marathon very much. Thanks a million. It was the most beautiful race I have ever run in my life. The landscape and the weather were so nice !!!!
Just what do you get for your entry fee in Connemara?
Wed, 01/09/2010Entry to the Connemarathon costs 70euro.
Your race entry fee includes
Bus Transfer from Galway, Oughterard and Clifden directly to race start.
The race, including all the usual race support along the route.
Lots and Lots and Lots of 250ml Sports Cap Bottles of Water every 3 miles approx.
Sports Drinks at certain stations.
Portaloos at start, finish and every 3 miles (there were 70 in 2010).
Over 200 volunteers along the route.
15 Medical Personnel and Race Doctor, 3 Ambulances and a Medic Motorbike.
Hopefully the elation of finishing one of the world's truly magical marathon experiences.
Your Finishers Medal.
Your Finishers Ronhill Technical Tee Shirt. (The classic Blue 'I Hit the Wall in Connemara' ones that you see everywhere).
Lots of fruit and yet more water at the finish.
Post Race Soup and Sandwiches in Peacockes Hotel.
Buses back to your starting location (78 buses were employed by the 2010 Connemarathon).
