In an internet café in Galway. Just wanted to say thanks. We had a brilliant day. The race, as always, was superbly organised, and a great craic was had by all! We'll be back next year.

I had the pleasure of running the Connemara International Half Marathon yesterday, 1hr 58! Yeoowh!!. The weather was amazing, the course was amazing, the runners, the locals, and staff were amazing! I've rarely had such a good time exercising.

Thanks very much to everyone involved, that was just brilliant, I didn't hit the wall, it fell on top of me, finishing was one of the best things I have ever done and I'll definitely be back next year.
Eddie Murphy RIP
Fri, 22/04/2011Everyone associated with the Connemarathon are deeply saddened by the untimly death of our good friend Eddie Murphy.
Eddie is pictured (centre) having a bit of fun before the Ultra briefing in Maam Cross. He ran a fantastic race on Sunday running a Connemara Ultra PB by a long way and was in great spirits at the finish.
Eddie will be sadly missed by all his running friends. We send our condolences to his family and friends and he will always be in our thoughts.
