Seriously-this has to rank as one of my top marathons(and i have done a few). Thanks for a superb and memorable day. I'll be back next year.

I just want to thank everyone on the Connemara Marathon team for making yesterday so special. It was a day from heaven - even if large parts of it did fell like hell :)

Ray, I had a fabulous weekend. I really enjoyed the run. It's a unique and great event. Liam, Gary, Aisling and Tony all had a great time. Special mention to the marquee - well laid out and great grub.

The organisation was faultless, from the baggage buses, to the fantastic aid stations(those kids worked HARD), to the t shirts and medals. All utterly, utterly wonderful (the scenery was quite nice too-tee hee).

Ray and team, Thanks for a fantastic event once again on Sunday. The organisation was super once again and you even managed to arrange the first real sunny day of the year for us!
Ceoil, ól agus craic for the Connemarathon!
Wed, 26/03/2008E.J. King’s Bar & Restaurant, On the corner, in the capital of Connemara!
Join us for our seafood specialities & our famous traditional music sessions on Friday 4th & Saturday 5th April.
For over 100 years a public house run by members of the King family has dominated the corner of Clifden's Main Street and Market Street.
In the 1830's John King ran the pub and a general merchants store out of the same premises, with himself and his family living above the shop. Eventually, John's grandson Edward Joseph took over the running of the public house, and the name has remained as E J Kings to this day.
As the capital of Connemara, Clifden, or An Clochan, attracts thousands of visitors all year round. The market town enjoys a unique location, lying at the foot of the Twelve Bens Mountains and alongside the Atlantic Ocean.
A magnet for writers, artists, film-makers and naturalists, Clifden also enjoys an international reputation for excellent food, drink and good cheer.
E J Kings is superbly positioned at Eddie King's corner to oversee life's hustle and bustle; and indeed many visitors to the pub love to sit outside, enjoying the pub's very popular seafood menu.
Inside, visitors can relax in the informal atmosphere of this beautifully restored pub & restaurant, sampling the finest of local produce, and listening to the best in traditional Irish music.
