Just have to let you know, what a great day we had today. Well done. Really enjoyed the marathon well organised. Even the weather how did you do it. It was a great day.

This was my first ultra and I had an absolutely fantastic weekend. Myself and 18 friends from Nidd Valley Road Runners came from Harrogate to run the marathon and all agree how great it was, we're all still buzzing from it.

The race itself was great and thank god for the weather, thanks to ray and the organisation team too. I really enjoyed it and will be back next year. The soup after the race was lovely. It was like a meal in itself.

ABOUT CANCER CARE WEST
Cancer Care West is a not for profit, West of Ireland registered charity, dedicated to supporting those whose lives have been affected by a cancer diagnosis. Our aim is to enhance patient care and well being and to provide supports to cancer patients and their families during and after their treatment.
Inis Aoibhinn, our residential facility, is located on the grounds of University Hospital Galway and offers accommodation to patients and a family member/friend for the duration of their treatment at UHG. Cancer Care West's cancer support centre, at Seamus Quirke Road, Galway offers a wide range of services. A five-day per week drop-in service is available, whereby people can call in without an appointment. Individual appointments are available for clinical and psychological counseling; information on benefits and entitlements and reflexology and massage. A variety of courses are offered on topics including stress management, living with cancer, mindfulness, expressive art and expressive writing.
All our services are provided at no cost to the patient or their families and this is only made possible through the generosity of donors and supporters of Cancer Care West.
